Dunedin's captured ships HMS Dunedin was responsible for the capture of several enemy merchant ships during WWII, including two German merchant ships trying to make it back to Germany from the Caribbean in 1940 (Heidelberg and Hannover), several French Vichy ships, and - the biggest prize of all - the German ship Lothringen, a supply vessel for Bismarck and several U-boats. |
