Biographical NotesSon of Walter Charles and Lilly Riddleston, of Hyde, Cheshire. Pre-war the family lived in Rowhedge and his 3 year old sister, Barbara, who died in May 1924 is buried in Saint Lawrence's churchyard at Rowhedge, where Wilf is commemorated (see picture above, kindly provided by Ted Sparrow). Wilf sent this sketch home to his family from HMS Dunedin:
