HMS Dunedin: Annual Remembrance Ceremony and Reunion, 24^th November 2007

Naval Memorial, Southsea Common, and afterwards at the Royal Maritime Club, Portsmouth

Order of events

Mid-morning onwards: members may arrive at the Royal Maritime Club (RMC); check-in 12 noon onwards for people staying overnight

1245: Depart RMC for Naval Memorial, Southsea Common

1300: Assemble for the Remembrance ceremony (see separate Order of Service)

1400: Return to RMC for registration and light buffet lunch (bar will also be open throughout the day)

1530: Nelson Lounge

·        Viewing of artifacts, photos, books, flags and other material

·        Running slide show on history of HMS Dunedin

·        Presentation by Stuart Gill: “HMS Dunedin and the Enigma Secret”

·        Discussion with the survivors and veterans

·        Relatives’ stories

1800: Free time and preparation for evening

1930: Dinner in Horatio’s Restaurant, RMC, followed by coffee and informal speeches in the Nelson Lounge.
