Clifford James Coote Petty Officer Cook (P/MX 49337), was born in Haverhill, Suffolk on November 16th 1913. He was the first child of James Coote, a farm worker, and his wife Annie Susan, née Taylor. Clifford married Rachel Davis in 1940.
