Biographical Notes
Lesley Dyer, Leading Seaman (P/SSX 14439) was born in Birmingham on December 4th 1913. He was the son of Charles Dyer, a baker, who died in 1918, and his wife Esther Annie Dunn, née Waters.
One time Royal Navy Lightweight boxing champion. Member of Lothringen prize crew which took Lothringen to Bermuda in June 1941, probably returned to Dunedin 27th October 1941. Died on rafts 25th November.
