Charles Edwards, Stoker 1st class, P/KX 102814, was born in Bethnal Green, London on June 20th, 1919. He was the first son of Charles William Edwards, a dock labourer, and his wife Lillian, née Dolby. Before he enlisted, Charles was working as a warehouseman.
