Patrick Ramsay Gubbins (P/JK 184596) was born on 7th December 1924 to Walter George Gubbins and his wife Agnes Maud (nee Kyberd). He joined the Royal Navy on 14th February 1940 and served until 6th December 1969, receiving a Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 1957, the same year he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer. He married Margaret Impey on 14th August 1948.
