Philip Herridge, Wireman (P/MX 68015), was born in North Stokes, Berkshire, on December 18th 1919, the son of William Herridge, a gardener, who had served in the Royal Navy from 1916 to 1919, and his wife Mary, née Brown. At the outbreak of the War, Philip was employed as an electrician, and living at home with his parents in Bagshot, Surrey.
