1300: Assemble in front of the WWII memorial plaques
1320: Sound of the alert, followed by:
Introduction: Chris Broadway (Lt-Cmdr, RN, Ret)
1321: Address: Stuart Gill, on behalf of The Dunedin Society
1326: Bill Gill, survivor and President of the Dunedin Society
The Exhortation:
“They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them, nor shall the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we shall remember them.”
All: “We shall remember them.”
Bugler: The Last Post
All: Two minutes silence
Bugler: Reveille
Andrew (Boy) McCall, survivor: The Kohima Epitaph:
“When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow we gave our today.”
All: “We will not break faith with you.”
Wreath-laying, the first wreath being laid by the President on behalf of all members of the Dunedin Society.
